Impromptu craft time=bonus card :)

So, I had plaaaaaaaaaned on napping this afternoon with the rest of the brood, since we have had a tough week.  Boo flooded the downstairs bathroom on Monday, so we've been praying that we don't have to rip it all out. (so far, so good), and Sean has been up every night this week with nightmares, so I am one. tired. mama.  Unfortunately, the neighbor kids thought that our naptime was a good time to scream down the slip-n-slide, so no nap time for mommy.  (and crappy naptime for Logie.) Anyway, who needs a nap when there are several new, gorgeous stamp sets to be played with?  And a couple of awesome challenges to play along with?  Alright then!  I headed downstairs and whipped up this pretty little card to go with the current Lawnscaping and Young Crafters Unite! challenges.

I used lots of new goodies on this card, including Lawn Fawn's Bannerific, Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, and my new Sprinklers.

This morning, I signed up for a craft fair that's only three weeks out.  I have a plan, but I'm a little bit freaked out by my ability to actually pull off a successful show.  I'm willing to take any advice from seasoned craft fair vendors. ;)

A Sweet 16 card

So, one of our sweet babysitters turned 16 this week.  I remember that birthday fondly, as my parents surprised me with a ticket to see NSYNC and Britney Spears in concert.  Ah, yes.  Memories were made.  Now that I'm nearly twice that age, it's fun to look back on that fun memory.  Our babysitters are like family to us, so I wanted to make her a card that really fit her.  She and her sisters are into all things fairytale, so I thought that Critters Ever After would be perfect.  Here's what I came up with:

I was inspired by Melania Deasy's card seen here.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to go back and add a little bit of glitter.  And I'm entering it into Lawnscaping's 37th challenge, Use Dimension, and Young Crafters Unite! Many Layers challenge.

Thanks for taking a peek!
