Silhouette and Authentique

Silhouette's blog just posted a new card sketch today that I *love* and immediately knew I wanted to use Authentique on it.  I had Gathering out on my desk from another project that I was working on, and thought it would be perfect for this sketch.  Can I just say that Authentique's paper is of insanely awesome quality?  It took all of my upper body strength (slight hyperbole) to get my Martha monarch punch to punch it's way through the paper.  Awesome texture; awesome paper.  Wish I had more.  Here's the card I made:

I am late to the Gluber party, but really, how cool are they?  I used a 2" Gluber and a strip of old polyester coat lining to make the rosette.  So much fun.  And now baby beckons, so nap time/scrap time is over.

Have a wonderful day!

  2. Jen do you have a Silhouette or did you punch out that awesome strip in the middle? I was wondering because I do not own such a fabulous machine (well, I have an ancient Cricut, but well, yeah)and I was hoping you'd give me the name of the punch you used (if I'm lucky).

Anyway, your card is stunning. I really love love love it!

    1. Thanks, Amanda! I do have a Cameo, but for that strip I used Martha Stewart's Doily Lace Edge Punch. I get a lot of use from that punch!
